“LIFE IS TOO PRECIOUS A
THING TO PERMIT ITS
DEVALUATION BY LIVING...
WITHOUT HOPE.” (HAVEL)
Full Circle Ranch – In this clean great room with a cathedral ceiling
filled with the morning sunshine, it was still only a vision – that the
room be filled with fresh-cut flowers from a garden outside the front
door (“Dad’s Garden”), music,
books and reading material
for Mother and Dad, jokes
and story-telling, Mother’s
poetry, family biography,
journaling, aesthetics, the
aroma of nutritious food
being slowly cooked, friends
and family gathered around
the table, and – for the rest
of their days – maintaining a space for Mother and Dad which
would be filled with life, rather than abandonment and despair.
