November 1997 – Sadly, Mother was informed of her diagnosis
without a family member present to support her. She was given
a prescription for a “state-of-the-art” medication on the same
day. Upon their return from Sarasota with other snowbirds at the
end of the season, immediate family members who lived close-
by continued long-established regular weekly outings with them.
