Interlude - That spring, I overheard a private conversation between

Dad and Mother – with Dad saying quietly and poignantly, “There’s

nothing wrong with you. You just don’t remember.” Conventional
medicine may have called this denial, but what I heard was a

voice clearly lost in the rush to bend to the medical diagnosis. I

think he understood very well, and this was his finest hour – a

moment of grace filled with gravitas. He was expressing the same
belief as that expressed by Dr. Bill Thomas, who is included on

our Influencers page.
