STOPPED TEACHING.
In July 2010, the year in which Dr. Power’s first book was published,
Mother was accepted for admission to a nursing home at a time
when it appeared there were no other alternatives for her care.
But, when informed three weeks after her admission that she
could no longer swallow and had stopped eating, I was able to
find some additional caregiver support – until my shoulder injury
was fully mended.
